Cutting Services
Precision Saw Cutting
Our cut tolerance for the precision cut saws is -0”/+0.0625” (-0mm/+1.6mm). We do not charge for cutting items for shipping purposes; however, additional charges may apply for multiple precision cuts.
Plate Shearing
Our 12-foot Cincinnati Shear can shear material as thin as 2mm thick in carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum sheet, and up to 14mm thick for carbon steel and aluminum plate or 12mm thick for stainless steel. Set-up and cut charges will be applied to each order. A pre-cut stocking program is being developed. Please contact sales for more information.
Production Saw Cutting
Our cut tolerance is -0″/ +0.25″ (-0.0/+6.35 mm) for the production cut saw. We do not charge for cutting items for shipping purposes; however, additional charges may apply for production cuts (multiple precision cuts).
Plate Plasma Cutting
We have upgraded our plasma cutting unit to a Hypertherm 125. This means we can support straight-line cuts on plates up to 55mm thick, regardless of grade. We stock plates in various thicknesses, grades, and physical dimension sizes, and we will straight-line cut plates for shipping purposes. Our tolerance on plate cuts is -0”/+0.125”
Packaging Services
Crates
Our pre-made, high-quality crates are made to withstand long truck shipments and are ISPM 15 compliant. All non-crated material is placed in heavy-duty tubing or other wood packaging using metal bindings and plastic reinforcements. Parker Steel cannot be held responsible for damage due to driver mishaps or cargo-related incidents. In the case of product damage due to carrier mishandling or accident, which is properly documented, the carrier involved will be liable.
Specialty Metal Packaging
Parker Steel recognizes the strict requirements of the Food, Chemical, and Medical industries. We have the appropriate materials, such as special banding metals, plastics, and markers, to package and handle these sensitive products. Please be sure to let your salesperson know what requirements you need.

Material Certification
Material certification is available upon request.
Cut to Ship
We do not charge to cut to ship orders. However, additional charges for production cuts (multiple precision cuts) may apply. Our cut-to-ship tolerance is +/- 1” (+/- 25.4 mm).

Due to our commitment to our customers, most orders will ship on the same day.

Truck Shipments
We ship our product via commercial truck carriers and UPS. If you have any special requirements (designated carrier and air freight), speak with a member of our Sales Team, and we will strive to accommodate your needs.
*Shipping Damage Claim: It is important to note on receiving papers any damage to the cargo incurred while in transit via commercial truck carriers.
